Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift Rise Up for Nashville
Darn you, Miley Cyrus! This is the second consecutive day you've done something to force our praise, rather than our scorn.
Yesterday, we gave you props for wearing pants and delivering an important message to fans.
Now, we must acknowledge the role you played last night at Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert For Flood Recovery. The event was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee and raised money for victims of massive storms in that area earlier this year.
Said Miley, unfortunately bringing the tragedy back to herself: “We have a big farm with crops and I think that was affected a little bit. The scariest thing was not being able to get in touch with people because the phone lines were down."
As seen above, Taylor Swift also played a role in the concert. She said of the flooding:
“For me, the fact that there were members of my band that lost their homes really affected me because those are my friends. Those are the people I call up as soon as we get home. The fact that it affected my band, that’s the most directly it affected me.”
Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, ZZ Top and Miranda Lambert also performed at the event. Below, check out more photos of Miley and Taylor from it:

First off, I give props to Miley Cyrus and everyone else who sang. Your doing an awesome job.
Second of all, How dare anyone who says Miley didn't really carE? It's her hometown. She cares. She was really worried. I am getting tired of hearing Magazines and people judging miley and you don't even know her. Miley is an innocent person and she isn't doing anything bad. You are just believing the stupid magazines. She's trying new things out so leave her alone. She made some mistakes so LEAVE HER ALONE. She's a human being.
Look at Vanessa Hudgens, she made some mistakes and you guys still love her.
Look at Britney Spears. She made SOME HORRIBLE mistakes and people still listen to her music and u love her.
But when it's miley, She's a "slut." or a "bad influence" blah blah. She's 17! She wants to experince things. I don't see parents complaining. She still making music and the music is awesome. Her personal life is none of our business. So to the magazines and fans: BUTT OUT!

THG: I WAS THERE! IT WAS AWESOME!! Granted,the main reason I went was to see Miley,but---ZZ-TOP STOLE THE SHOW!! Those dudes ROCKED!! That Texas Trio hasn't lost anything! They brought the Rock in its Purest and delivered it with a sledge-hammer! Lynyrd Skynyrd brought the heat also along with(you probably won't believe-it,but)Miley's dad Billy-Ray Cyrus also ROCKED! He did his hit 'Could've Been Me'(complete with new sleeve tat' that looked cool)and along with Double-Z and Skynyrd---all 3 REALLY took me Back to Kick-ass Music days---Ya' feel-me?! Anyhow, Taylor Swift did an excellent job,and The Supergirl(Miley)well---you already know my comment for her---'The Climb' was as GREAT as it's ALWAYS Been!(though,for some strange reason,she seemed nervous some. Like she couldn't wait to get off the stage. She came-out,spoke a minute or two,sang---and rolled-out...That brought my fun down a little,but who knows? Maybe there was something else she had to do?)
