Mary-Kate Olsen and Nate Lowman Break Up

Mary-Kate Olsen and Nate Lowman have been together a long time, and have maintained a relatively low-key, seemingly stable relationship. Impressive.

It's over now, though.

The actress-design mogul confirmed her split from Nate Lowman, Us Weekly reports, quoting their rep saying, "No, they are not [together]. It’s been a while."

That settles that.

Nate Lowman had a good run as Mr. Mary-Kate.

Olsen and Lowman began dating in 2008 after meeting through mutual friends. There were rumors he got her pregnant and in late 2009 that they got engaged.

Neither happened.

Last year, her rep told Us that celebrity gossip rumors that the two are engaged were "untrue." Not only that, they possibly were not together at all then. Oh well.

Here's wishing both the best in their return to the dating scene.
