Solange Magnano, Former Miss Argentina, Dies in Gluteoplasty Mishap
Solange Magnano, a former Miss Argentina, died Sunday after an elective plastic surgery procedure on her posterior went terribly wrong and claimed her life.
According to international reports, the 37-year-old suffered a pulmonary embolism after going under the knife Wednesday at a Buenos Aires medical center.
The plastic surgery she was getting? A gluteoplasty, also known as a procedure which involves placing implants in the buttocks to improve their outline.
Solange Magnano, a wife and mother of 7-year-old twins, suffered a fatal complication when liquid injected into her buttocks went to her lungs and brain.
Authorities say the cause of death is still under investigation. Solange won the Miss Argentina crown in 1994, and later created her own modeling agency.
May the beautiful Solange Magnano rest in peace.

Although LOLA's comments aren't especially articulate, the content is accurate and should be read by women everywhere. Carol's logic, or lack thereof , is probably garnered from her work as the receptionist at a rhinoplasty clinic

The fact is the procedure is far from a deadly procedure and she shouldn't have died.
All surgeries have risks, but some minor.
If she was having an elective hysterectomy and died, would you feel the same way?
She has devestated family out there, and to rant as some on here are is 'trashy'.

i think its time we start demanding brains, not beauty from women we look up to. Can't we value more in society than just looks?? are we that shallow and pathetic?? I guess so.
I also think its about time we get rid of beauty pageants, they are so degrading.
People die daily from surgeries and illnesses that they couldn't avoid. They didn't choose their situation, and they leave behind families......
does that make you think at all???

jealous of her fake beauty, no. her accomplishment of looking good? no.
but nice try. I am good looking, have accomplished much, and am still young..not much to be jealous of. Always had everything i wanted...so jealous is not really an accurate assessment of me. sorry to burst your bubble :)
I do sincerely apologise for so ignorantly bashing argentina, it was Venezuela that i was thinking of. But since she was Argentinean and from pageants I made the mistake. I have nothing against argentina. I also have nothing against Venezuela. I have something against plastic surgery, and people getting it when they already look good. Which is what i think was done in this case. I am sure she was very beautiful before any surgery she ever had. But i wouldnt be surprised if she has had her face worked on, for some reason i don't think people just jump into ass surgery. I am sure a nose job or something like that must be the first step.
Of course my condolences go out to the family, and her

Having to take the risk for NECESSARY surgery is enough!!! We are becoming a world of "paper dolls", and it's not good for our children and grandchildren. We need to go back to the times when what was inside was just as important as out. It's getting way out of hand!

You know what. Why not live with the body you have.
