As one of the few celebrities who likes to keep her personal life guarded, Carrie Underwood rarely gives us insight into her relationship with NHL star Mike Fisher.
Much as we'd like to know more, we can appreciate this.
The country star made a rare public declaration of love for Fisher this week, though, giving the hockey player a shout-out on the liner notes of her new CD, Play On.
"Thank you #12," she writes to Mike Fisher in the notes, referring to the Ottawa Senators center's jersey number. "You are the most amazing addition to my life!"
"You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day... xoxo, Carrie."
All together now ... Awwww.
If Carrie Underwood loves Mike Fisher, then so do we!
Though the couple have mostly remained under the radar, recently they've been more open (a little more open) about their nearly year-long relationship.
Carrie, who is hosting a two-hour variety show on Fox December 7, has not gone totally out of her way to dodge questions (and cameras) as she once did.
Last month Fisher talked to The Sens Show, an online news program for his team, saying the busy twosome work hard to spend their free time together.
"Obviously it's tough with our schedules to see each other," he said at the time of his American Idol-winning love. "But we find a way to make it work."
True love always does find a way. Sniff.

I love Carrie and her music. She is a really good role model for girls my age (my Mom and Dad approve also). She is a good christain girl and has maintained her morals and deep faith even though she has become famous. I have read that Mike shares her values too. I wish them much happiness. I love her new album that came out 11/3. She really shows versitility in it. It is really a great album--maybe her best!!

Ugh! Carrie, just remember what happened to Jessica Simpson when she screamed out to the world that she was in love with Tony Romeo. I'm just saying'!!!!!

GL to the two of them. I highly doubt it'll be the same as the Tony Romo incident, most hockey players don't go around with a reputation of being an asshole to girls, Sean Avery is an exception though.
