You won't believe this, but Carrie Prejean's father is on the side of his daughter.

As more and more people realize what an immature, attention-starved hypocrite he spawned, Will Prejean spoke to E! News and said he didn't understand why her solo sex tape was such a big deal.

"Carrie is supposed to be doing all of these TV appearances to promote her book, and everyone can only focus on the tapes," he said. "I'm not someone who looks backwards. I think we need to look to the future."

Doesn't sound like Carrie's father will be reading her book. After all, it's focused entirely on events from the past.

Mr. Prejean also asked why no one discussed his daughter's charity work... only to ignore it himself and blast Miss California director Keith Lewis.

"[The pageant] is full of corruption and lies," he said. "[Lewis] can't run the thing and never has been able to."

Carrie's dad is careful not to cross Donald Trump, though, saying:

"He is just caught in the middle. He has been nothing but wonderful, really wonderful, to Carrie through all of this."

Except for the time where he referred to Prejean's stories as "nonsense," said Carrie should be "ashamed" and encouraged her to release her sex tape, that is.
