Levi Johnston has a good gig.
Just 19 years old, he lives his life largely out of the limelight, but once in awhile gets a nice paycheck to dish about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, whose teenage daughter he famously impregnated in early 2008. Nice work!
Vanity Fair is the latest to profile America's most beloved unwed teen baby daddy. In the magazine's October issue, Levi explains what happened behind the scenes of the 2008 campaign for the White House - and inside the Palin home.
Johnston wastes little time dispelling myths about the former Alaska Governor ...
Levi on Sarah's parenting: "There wasn’t much ... The kids do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, get ready for school. Most of the time [Bristol Palin] would help her sister with homework. I’d barbecue chicken or steak on the grill."
On Sarah's reaction to him knocking up Bristol: "Sarah told me she had a great idea: we would keep it a secret - nobody would know that Bristol was pregnant. She told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him."
"Sarah kept mentioning this. She wouldn’t give up. She would say, 'So, are you gonna let me adopt him?' We kept telling her definitely not. I think that Sarah didn’t want people to know her 17-year-old daughter was going to have a kid."
On Palin's response to criticism that John McCain lost because of her: "She thought she was running for president. She'd say 'I brought everything to the table' and 'the majority of people were out there voting because of me!'"
On Sarah changing post-campaign: "Sarah walked around the house pouting ... one or two weeks after she got back, she started talking about how nice it would be to quit, write a book or do a show and make 'triple the money.'"
Quality stuff, and certainly there will be plenty more where that came from. Just write Levi Johnston a check and he'll bash Sarah all you like!

You have hit a new low in yellow journalism when you print and give credence to the dispicable rants of an absentee and deadbeat dad. You all should hang your heads in shame! Whatever happened to inteligent and responsible journalism?

"Bashing?"
If the stories are true -- and they certainly play to type -- why is revealing the truth "bashing?"
Remember: Levi is a simple kid from Alaska who's biggest contribution to society was getting the governor's daughter pregnant. He's just trying to muddle through as best he can now that his profile has risen. (From what I've read, that higher profile makes it difficult for him to just blend back into his daily life.)
Palin, on the other hand, ran for vice-president and made her daughter's pregnancy a huge part of her VP bid, using it to distract from her own baffling pregnancy stories. Once she'd failed at her White House bid, she went after Levi like a snake who's tail had been stepped on. I'd say she's the one who's been doing the "bashing."

@cunningham - vanity fair ran the story, and are just quoting the guy. maybe he himself is lying but it's just stories from him directly, the same as any other article

darklady, I disagree. Just because he is more well known than in the past doesn't mean he needs to be airing the Palin family's dirty laundry. I think morally, it's tacky. Why can't he just keep his mouth shut? Why does he feel it's necessary to tell these jouranlists his private life situations? I agree that it's not completely the journalists fault, it's their job to report on anything basically. But also I think their is a moral side to that too, which is what Cunningham was trying to get across. It's not whether Levi's statements are true or false, it is the WAY he's handling this situation. I may not like the way my friend, mother-in-law, sister, etc treated me or their family but I certainly wouldn't go running around talking about it publicly. Maybe Palin and her family are all nuts and mean but that doesn't give him the right to do a tell all every chance he gets.

When will She tell the truth about Trig? I believe Levi. What does he have to gain by lying. He would gain more by making her look good but instead he decided to be honest and tell it just the way it is. More of the truth will come out. A lie can only be held for a little while.

I think Levi is hilarious! he's just the insight America needs to see what a true phony quack palin is. nothing like youthful honesty!!! and I'm a republican...i just think palin's a joke!

Good for Levi! They treat him like trash n u think hes not gonna let the secrets or truths out? I dont see Palin fighting back with lawyers requestin Levi to shut his trap and stop lieing?!?!?!?! Shes somewhat right though, she did get us voting, FOR OBAMA, cuz god forbid she even got her foot in the Whitehouse door. She lost the moment she opened her mouth THANK GOD!!! But until she gives Levi what he wants concerning his son and the longer she doesnt make peace, her & her daughter, Levi is free to tell the truth anyway he sees fit. TEAM LEVI LETS GO!!!!
