Confirming a previous report, Jessica Simpson will headline a new reality show called The Price of Beauty, in which the singer will travels around the world in search of the kinds of things people find beautiful and why, VH1 announced.
Asked to do a show about true beauty, Simpson - who endured some solid bullying in January for performing live after letting herself go / squeezing that a$$ into a pair of unflattering mom jeans - said she was "immediately intrigued."
"I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect," Joe Simpson's cash cow said in a statement.
"I am looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn so much on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along."

We're excited to listen to her read cue cards and perform stupid stunts, too. Gosh, this sounds like a slam-dunk. Way to go, VH1 production department!
Shooting begins in mid-July, with the show airing sometime next year. The singer and her pimp, father Joe Simpson, will serve as executive producers.

This is going to be so lame. All of this has been done to death by other networks like Discovery and Learning channels. This has been done to death. Nothing new here. I seriously doubt Jessica will be participating in anything that is to much work. I also wonder how much will be real or staged. I for one won't be watching, I have seen it all before.

Jessica can't even dress herself. She wears daisy duke shorts, flannel shirts, and corsette tops, which show her hanging belly. She wears to much makeup and has fake hair. She also has her boobs popping out of every dress she wears. Jessica is no role model or trend setter. She has no idea what beauty is. I guess she thinks she is qualified since the media called her fat. I guess this is another desparage to keep herself in the public eye.

How is it that a Bimbo like J.S. continues to convince producers she has any measurable talent ? Obviously we have entered the Twilight Zone of entertainment where quality acting and singing are not required. Today's Hollywood Icons are nothing more than "Inflateble" plastic figures...
