Howie Mandel would like to make amends.
The America’s Got Talent judge gave props on Tuesday night to Stevie Starr, a man known as a "professional reguritator” due to his swallowing of random objects and his (weird) ability to bring them back up in one piece.
Upon doling out praise to Starr, Mandel acknowledged he was about to say something that might "come out wrong," but proceeded to joke that Starr makes "bulimia entertaining."
Cue the crickets and host Nick Cannon immediately saying that likely wasn’t Starr’s intention.
And just as Demi Lovato was likely signing online to slam Mandel, the comedian issued an on-air apology.
"I made light of bulimia, which is a very serious eating disorder and mental health issue. I deal with mental health all the time, and I did something stupid. I should never make light of it.
"I apologize to anybody that was offended. I’m not perfect, I make mistakes."
Mandel then took to Twitter and wrote pretty much the same thing.
