Erika Girardi has had herself quite a couple of days.
On Monday evening, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made her debut on Dancing with the Stars, entering on board a unicorn.
Descending a flight of silver glittery stairs and then doing this on stage, that alone would make for a memorable week on TV:
She was far from through entertaining us, though.
Not even 24 hours later, on Tuesday night, the Bravo actress was featured in one of the most unexpected breakdowns in show history.
During a trip to Hong Kong, Girardi was reduced to anger and tears after her good friend Eileen Davidson tried to smooth things over.
Erika and Dorit had previously gotten into a row on board a junk boat, and Eileen did her best to patch things up between the co-stars.
"She didn't kill your child," Davidson told Girardi.
That seemingly harmless attempt to put their argument into perspective backfired, however, as Erika reacted in unexpected fashion.
Eileen's quote simply shifted gears in Erika's mind to her son, who is a police officer and whose life is therefore on the line with every shift.
Her pointed response to Davidson?
"Hey, Eileen, let's not do that," Girardi shot back. "And don't ever bring up killing my child again because my child could get killed."
Davidson, the daytime TV legend, said many times that she didn't mean her rhetorical comment like that... but it was too late.
"Eileen, your kid doesn't put on a uniform every night and put his life out on the line for people he doesn't know," Erika said.
Lisa Rinna went over to console Girardi, but the tears were flowing and the pressure of everything was too much to bear.
Growing more and more emotional, she cursed at Davidson and continued to tell everyone to never bring up her child again.
"I'm very proud of my son being in law enforcement, but obviously it can get a little nerve racking," Erika has previously said to Bravo, adding:
"It’s a dangerous profession. I've known my son was going to be in law enforcement from the time he could walk and talk."
"That's all he’s ever wanted and that's kind of your role as a parent is to honor who your children really are."
