Blake Shelton did not take home a single Country Music Award on Wednesday night.

Unless you count Most Talked About Star, due to Shelton and Gwen Stefani having come out as a couple just prior to the ceremony in Nashville.

The artist was the target of a few jokes during Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley’s monologue, but he shifted the conversation a bit later on when he actually took to the stage.

The Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event nominee performed a version of his track “Gonna,” doing his talented thing in front of a crowd that included ex-wife Miranda Lambert.

The Country Music Awards and this routine came less than two weeks after Shelton dropped "Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits," a compilation album that has peaked at number-two on the Billboard country chart and at number-five on the Billboard 200.

Of course, no one is really talking about that at the moment due to Shelton’s new relationship with Stefani, with whom he co-stars on The Voice.

Along with Shelton’s performance, the CMAs featued Lambert singing "Bathroom Sink" and Justin Timberlake teaming with the true star of the night.

Folks are still buzzing over Timberlake’s duet with Chris Stapleton, who took home three major trophies and who is clearly the next big thing in country music.

But Blake Shelton is very much still around. He isn’t going anywhere just yet.

Watch him prove it in the following video and then, of course, sound off: Shelton and Stefani?!? Can you believe it?!?

What should we nickname this celebrity couple?!? Oh, right. Sorry. About that performance…
