Southern Charm is one of Bravo's most captivating shows.
These wealthy southerners in Charleston, South Carolina air their dirty laundry before the cameras.
Their drama, their escapades, their lifestyles, and their ridiculous personalities make for some amazing entertainment.
But how much, exactly, do the stars of Southern Charm actually get paid for their trouble?
A lot of them make the same amount, but there are a few special cases worth mentioning. And, thanks to a report by RadarOnline, we have the details.
Check it out:
Starring on a reality show is work
The Southern Charm cast already have money. Like Real Housewives, the cast is chosen in part for its affluence. But how much do you have to pay a group of dramatic rich people to air their dirty laundry?
How much is, say, Chelsea Meissner paid?
According to RadarOnline, ALL of the stars of Southern Charm are paid the same, flat rate of $25,000. But it's a little complicated for a few of them.
So ... what is that, per season?
Southern Charm airs 15 episodes per season. So at $25,000 for a single episodes, that's $375,000 in a season. Not bad for Cameran Eubanks and her costars, though some Real Housewives rake in over $1 million per season.
Yes, this even applies to Craig Conover
Conover, who talks like a frat guy at times ... and acts like a frat guy at times ... is a reformed playboy who is back to his old tricks again. He is paid $25,000 per episode to just be himself on camera.
Kathryn Dennis is in the same boat
She makes $25,000. But a couple of others, however, are special cases.
Shep Rose is where things get complicated
Don't get us wrong, Shep makes the same $25,000 per episode as everyone else. BUT he also has something else going for him, and we don't just mean his inexplicable Owen Wilson vibe.
Shep has his own spin-off
There are a few Southern Charm spin-offs, but Shep Rose's spin-off, RelationShep, is all about him. RadarOnline reports that he also makes $25,000 per episode.
And other spin-offs?
It looks like other spin-offs, like Southern Charm New Orleans, fall under the same umbrella of $25,000 per episode. Jeff Charleston is a star of the series, even though his last name makes him perfect for the original show. Alas.
Shep isn't the only special case, though
Ashley Jacobs is Thomas Ravenel's girlfriend, but she's made quite an impression on Southern Charm as she feuds with Thomas' ex and baby mama, Kathryn Dennis.
And for her trouble, Ashley is paid ...
Nothing. Ashley is not paid to be on Southern Charm. With the sole exception of the reunion episode, for which she WAS paid to appear.
And speaking of the reunion ...
A reunion special does not count as a regular episode, so Southern Charm cast members are paid $60,000 as a bonus for the reunions.
Thomas Ravenel may be kissing all of this goodbye
If you add that up, it's $435,000 per season (including the reunion special bonus). But Thomas Ravenel, who is accused of sexual assault by multiple women, did not film the reunion.
But is he fired?
Ashley Jacobs filmed the reunion special without Thomas, but it looks like it's still up in the air whether or not he'll rejoin the cast. Some of that may be up to police and the network's investigation, but a lot will be up to viewers and advertisers.
All in all, Southern Charm pays well
But they're still making cents on the dollar when you compare them to some Real Housewives.
