We all know that kids say the darndest things.
But celebrities aren’t very far behind.
Over the course of 2016, stars from all walks of famous life jumped on social media… to basically make fools of themselves.
From Tweets from Kanye West to the next President of the United States, these are the stupidest things celebrities wrote within a 140 character limit this year…
Debbie Reynolds is Weak!

D.L. Hughley somehow chose to slam Debbie Reynolds for dying in the wake of her daughter passing away. He also turned her death into an issue of race.
Oops! My Bad!

Kanye got into a major beef with Wiz Khalifa because he thought the rapper was dissing Kim Kardashian when Wiz wrote the letter “KK.” He was actually referring to a type of marijuana.
Damn, Lena

Come on, Lena Dunham. We can all agree that “Damn Daniel” was annoying enough even before you had to go and try to make it into something it’s not.
Of Course All Lives Matter

But that’s the entire point behind the Black Lives Matter movement, Prince Jackson. Far too often, it seems as though black lives seem to matter LESS.
Thanks… Donald?

It was difficult to choose just one Donald Trump Tweet from 2016. But we went with this one due to Trump 1. Taking credit for something Obama did; 2. Using the third person; 3. Not understanding the sarcasm behind the “Thanks, Obama!” joke.
Get It?

Because it looks like a penis. (How old is Justin Bieber again?)
Best. Comeback. Ever.

Amber Rose destroyed Kanye with this Tweet. It was less “stupid” than it was “memorable.” But it stills earns a mention here.
Bette vs. Kim!

Talk about a feud we never saw coming. This was a great Tweet, but it just gave the Kardashians a chance to accuse the same singer of slut-shaming.
See, Bette…

You also gave Kim a chance to brag about her wealth.
Show Some Class, Alec

We’re all for slamming Donald Trump. But Alec Baldwin could have chosen NOT to do so as part of a Tweet about two major stars dying.
Thanks, Matt McGorry?

This was just odd, the How to Get Away with Murder star trying to make like Kardashian and earn money off a sponsored Tweet. As one follower pointed out, a messabe about toxic masculinity sort of falls flat when it’s for a brand like AXE.
Lindsay Lohan Gets Profound

She travels a lot, though. So why isn’t she great?
For a Good Time, Call…

… Rob Kardashian? “To ensure your man is not texting no bitches, tweet his number out,” Blac Chyna wrote to explain this Tweet.
Furious Fiddy

50 Cent going off on the Golden Globes was not exactly a power move. It’s the Golden Globes, man. Move on.
Oh, Ivanka

Remember when that rich and spoiled white woman Tweeted a link to an article about why one should be an “unpaid intern?” And included only black faces as emojis along with it?
Lighten Up, Jaden

We could wrote an entire column on Jaden Smith Tweets (and we have!), but chose to highlight this dark thought toward the end of 2016.
The Donald, Again

Sorry. We had to include this one.
An Apology Followed

So at least Nev Schulman was aware that this was a dumb thing to write.
Stick to Posing Shirtless, Zac Efron

Avoid combining self-congratulations for hitting a social media milestone with a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.
