Washington Is Like New York, Except Smarter and Less Attractive
It???s a Give and take

Whenever we leave New York, we???re always shocked by how dumpy the rest of the country looks. Outside of this city, women wear overalls to the movies, men have the same haircut they had as children and no one seems to mind the extra ten pounds they???re carrying around.

Even Washington, despite its young population and relatively urban setting, is ugly compared with New York. But to be fair, twenty somethings down there are fetching coffee for senators, not magazine editors.

So it makes sense that while we obsess over what people look like at the gym, in D.C., they care about what people are reading.

And while they Stairmaster it up, D.C. residents peruse titles such as Chiropractic Economics, Training Secrets for Rottweilers, and Geico Direct, the only magazine for Geico policyholders.

If the smarty-pants in D.C. are reading Geico Direct, maybe not having a car and subscribing to Self isn???t so bad.
