Jon Stewart Reminds Us That Nice Guys Don’t Always Finish Last. In Fact, Sometimes, They Have Enough Money To Finish First And Pay People To Do Nothing

• Aw, fake news anchor and all-around nice guy Jon Stewart has pledged to continue paying his writers’ salaries for up to two weeks! At which point, they’ll all be fired.

Now that we are pretty much over Hearst’s big move (though anyone who has pictures from inside Cosmo, please feel free to forward!) our interest over this latest media transfer piqued our interests a bit. Turns out (like we really know where radio folks are kept captive) WNYC has had its staffers stashed in a real shithole over on Centre Street, forced to work amongst a sea of coffee stains and dilapidation.

But those days are through. The radio program is moving on up to the chic streets of Varick and Vandam, merely a crosstown skip from the likes of Nerve, BlackBook, and Mediabistro. But the new space will have other perks, too: room for staffers, windows, cockroach free bathrooms, and seats that aren’t broken. It’s even (unlike their previously government run HQ) gay friendly.

And with less cumbersome security requirements than at the Municipal Building, should he agree to revisit, Carson Kressley of ???????Queer Eye for the Straight Guy??????? would probably not be late for a radio interview ???????? as he was a while back ???????? because of panic that his large, spiked belt contained explosives.

Though, if there is anyone out there who wants to bomb their new digs, we know we can always count on the New York Times to show them how.
