Zach Hyman, a New York City photographer who shoots nude models in public places in New York City, will be showing 14 of his favorite images in a photography exhibit opening tonight at Chair and the Maiden Gallery in Manhattan.

Featuring 19-year-old Jocelyn Saldana and other models, the exhibit also includes nude photos taken in Times Square and Chinatown.

Hyman, 22, gives himself 30 seconds to shoot 10 pictures. The models quickly disrobe to mixed reactions from onlookers. During Saldana’s shoot on the subway, one woman started screaming and an elderly man next to her got the shakes. Most, however, were blasé.

Hyman realizes the risk involved, and takes someone along on the nude photo shoots to watch for police, keeps bail money handy and has his lawyer’s phone number on speed dial.
