Usher has discovered that being famous has its challenges. His peaceful existence was recently upended by a delusional female stalker, Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw.
The 26-year-old woman showed up uninvited at the entertainer’s Georgia residence, where she pounded on the door while demanding to be let in.
Police were called to the scene and after questioning the woman, ordered her to leave and not return. She left as instructed but returned the following day. This time the stalker claimed she was married to Usher and that she had simply misplaced her keys. The story didn’t fly with the officer and she was placed under arrest.
Usher was granted a temporary restraining order that he will attempt to make permanent during a court hearing next month.
Unfortunately that isn’t the end of the story. It seems the woman uploaded a video on YouTube, claiming that the singer has been funneling her money and promised to pay for her living arrangements and help with her music career. She is reportedly so upset that she is considering pressing charges for defamation.
