After filing for divorce in January, the singer, actor and former model Tyrese Gibson has finalized the details of his marital split. His 10-month marriage to Norma ended due to irreconcilable differences. The couple have a two-year-old daughter Shayla together.
Norma decided to protect her best interests and figured the best way to get the court’s attention was by quickly filing papers citing that Tyrese was a bad father. Although she signed a pre-nup that would have awarded her nada, she has had a change of heart and decided that she deserved compensation.
During their short-lived marriage, Tyrese earned $800,000 and the judge ordered him to pay her a settlement of $65,000. He has also been ordered to provide $6,230 a month in child support. Not too shabby for a marriage that lasted less than a year.
Their assets and cars will be divided, but Gibson will keep their Californian home that was purchased preNorma. They will have shared custody of Shayla.
