It didn’t take long for TLC to realize that ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ was going to be a major hit with viewers. The network has sweetened the pot for the Shannon family with a pay raise.
The family started out receiving between $5,000-$7,000 per episode and will now pull in $15,000-$20,000.
The network offered to move them into a larger home that would provide them with additional security but they love their neighborhood.
For now family matriarch June Shannon is content keeping it real when it comes to fame, money and her redneck lifestyle. She doesn’t want to leave her small town community and looks forward to going all out each year with her Christmas decorations.
Her husband Sugar Bear recently became incapacitated after an ATV accident and TLC has offered to pay for the services of a driver-body guard to provide transportation for the family.
So far June has shied away from getting an agent to drum up other business opportunities. She doesn’t relish the idea of more television demands on her family so for now she will continue to manage what they do and when.
