There are some confusing stories circulating this morning regarding the possibility that The View co-host Sherri Shepherd was actually practicing her DWTS moves in NYC last December.
According to a Radaronline report, Shepherd was seen entering a Manhattan studio with dancing shoes in hand. This is where things get a bit confusing. The website post claims she was met by Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a dance pro from the show.
Those who follow the popular ABC series know that Maks has been partnered this season with Little House on the Prairie actress Melissa Gilbert. Sherri, on the other hand, will be dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy, the brother of Mad Maks.
We know that Maks hit a red carpet event in NYC in December and Sherri attended his Big Apple birthday bash in January. Regarding the hoofer showing Shepherd a few dance moves, we can’t say whether this is fact or fiction.
It seems likely that he offered to show her a few dance moves so that she could make an informed decision before signing on to do the high profile television gig.
From our perspective, no crime, no foul. Yes? No?
The new cast was revealed on February 28. Season 14 premieres on March 19, 2012, 8/7c on ABC.
