Singer Sarah McLachlan and her husband of 11 years Ashwin Sood have decided to go their separate ways. Sood is also the drummer for Sarah’s band.
Due to the fact that McLachlan has a new album coming out, Closer: The Best of Sarah McLachlan, the singer decided it was time to let the world know. Two songs on her new CD are about her ex, “U Want Me 2” and “Don’t Give Up On Us.”
“I wasn’t planning on saying anything, but it’s gonna come out at some point. I haven’t said anything about it because I have been terrified to, bit I figure….there’s no good time to say it, so I just said it.”
The estranged couple have two children together, Ann Sushil (6) and Taja Summer (14 months). The only thing that Sarah has really said about the whole ordeal is that it is “pretty gross.”
