Twenty year old rising star Sam Querrey advanced to the 4th round at the U.S. Open Grand Slam event before losing to Nadal Rafael in an exciting 4 round match of 6-2 5-7 7-6 6-3. Rafael will advance to the quarterfinals against American Mardy Fish.

Querrey, 6’6″, 200 pounder is a right handed, 2-handed backhand player. He holds the record for most consecutive aces served – 8 in a row. He recently played on the U.S. Men’s Olympic tennis team in Beijing. His doubles partner is 23 year old, 6’9″ John Isner. His career earnings, prior to the U.S. Open were $882,000.

Sam has a unique fan base that calls itself The Samurai. They are often seen as a group at his tournaments.
