Rihanna performed at the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore on Sunday night and attendees were anything but thrilled, hitting Twitter to call her out after witnessing a “totally screwed up” stage performance.
After a seven-week summer break, Rihanna should have returned refreshed and ready to show her fans a good time. According to the barage of social media rants, many appeared to have been left unsatisfied after taking in her show.
Twitter exploded with comments including “disappointing” “high on weed” “lip-synching” and “15-minutes I’ll never get back.”
Senior News Assistant for Fox Sports in Singapore, Dan Ogunshakin, was less than impressed when he tweeted:
Steve Lai, news anchor for Channel NewsAsia, tweeted: “SPOILER ALERT: Rihanna is lip-synching. From the ex-soundman next to me. Plus red light isn’t on on her mike. She walks like Rihanna though.”
One high profile fan left a positive message:
Prior to her recent hiatus, the singer was catching a lot of heat for showing up late and giving lackluster performances.
The 25-year-old tweeted this photo from Singapore that she captioned, “RAF x RIRI,” a nod to the costume designed by Raf Simons:
