Randy Jackson told Robin Roberts during a phone interview this morning on ‘Good Morning America,’ that the matriarch of the embattled Jackson family is heading home.
Amid a firestorm of controversy that has divided the siblings of the late Michael Jackson, it appears Katherine Jackson will soon return to her Calabasas compound to be reunited with her grandchildren Paris, Prince and Blanket.
Randy told Robin, “My mom is on her way back to Los Angeles. It was under doctor’s orders that she go. Her health was really bad, and he wanted her to go somewhere where she couldn’t be on the phone, and be cut off from the outside world for a few days.”
When pressed by Roberts about the driveway altercation that ensued after Randy, Jermaine and Janet followed the SUV carrying the Jackson children back from summer school, RJ denied there was physical contact. He claims they were simply coming to let the kids know they were free to see their grandmother or speak to her on the phone.
On the subject of the attempted ouster of the estate executors, Randy is still adamant that the 2002 will contains a forged signature. He acknowledges that regardless, the estate belongs to Michael’s children and this is not about the siblings trying to gain control of the $1 billion fortune.
UPDATE: The good news is that Katherine was set to land at LAX today. That said, an L.A. judge ruled this morning that T.J. Jackson will replace Mrs. Jackson as the temporary guardian for the children until further notice.
Katherine’s lawyer Perry Sanders was headed directly from the courtroom to meet her plane and to speak with her for the first time since she was taken from her home ten days ago. He indicated that if he felt she was able to resume her duties he would file the necessary paperwork to get her reinstated as the permanent guardian of Paris, Prince and Blanket.
