Panic at the Disco had a gig at The Pearl Concert Theater at The Palms in Las Vegas on Friday night, June 13th. We’ve got some awesome photos of their eclectic stage performance. The groups latest album, Pretty. Odd. is a combination of old fashioned vaudeville and electronic rock beats. Their sound incorporates elements of rock, pop, big beat, punk, dance and electronica.
Panic at the Disco is known for its mock Victorian circus shows, where it brings an entourage of contortionists and dancers on stage with the band as they perform. They have recently scaled back their circus-themed shows and plan to perform using a new variety of themes. Their recent run on the Honda Civic Tour has proven to be much more stripped down, featuring the band just straight up performing in front of a set inspired by their latest album artwork.
The group hails from Las Vegas where two of the current members started a band at age thirteen. They hooked up with the other members of the group in high school. They range in age from 20 to 22 years old and had their first real taste of celebrity status by landing a New Years Eve gig playing in Time Square in New York City on December 31, 2006.
Panic was named the MTV Artist of the Week in early April as their second album Pretty. Odd. was being released. It hit the charts at #2 in both the U.S. and U.K., and landed at #1 in Australia.
In August, Panic at the Disco will embark on a World Tour, with venues in Asia, Australia and New Zealand announced. This will be their biggest show overseas to date.
