Reese began dating celebrity agent, Jim Toth, a few months after splitting with Jake Gyllenhaal in the early months of 2010. The two met by a chance encounter at a mutual friend’s house party, where Jim saved Reese from the advances of his very inebriated friend. The two married in March 2011 at a private ceremony held at her Ojai, California home.
“[Jim] really surprised me. You don’t know who you’re going to end up with. When I was 20, if you’d asked me … I wouldn’t have said Jim,” Witherspoon said in an interview with Elle magazine. (Probably because he wasn’t a co-star, let’s be real here.)
In September of 2012, Reese gave birth to her third child, Tennessee James Toth.
In April of 2013, Toth was arrested on a DUI charge and Reese was also arrested on a disorderly conduct for getting into a verbal fight with the police officer.
