Oksana Grigorieva, baby mama of Mel Gibson‘s seven-month-old daughter Lucia Gibson, went to court early this week to file a domestic violence restraining order against the star. He turned around and got a judge to put a gag order on her so that she is prevented from releasing certain information. She was served her papers on Wednesday.
The former girlfriend claims that she was beaten badly by Mel back in January (the photo above was taken on Feb. 1, 2010). Why did she stay? She said that it was because Gibson planned to seek help for his many issues, and she still loved him.
Grigorieva said that she is taking these measure for the safety of their daughter, and that is why she did not allow Mel to spend time with her on Father’s Day. The actor has had past struggles with bad behavior related to his alcohol addiction. Oksana has seen Mel’s violent side and she fears for her life and that of their baby daughter.
Gibson petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court to act in three areas involving custody of his eighth child. It details a court hearing and a notice of visitation rights and child custody.
Their split was announced in April. She held a press conference and said: “We have split up, suddenly and recently. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon.”
