Neil Patrick Harris is super excited that he’s going to be a dad this fall, and wants the whole world to know.
Harris revealed on his Twitter page that he and longtime partner David Burtka are expecting twins.
“So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall. We’re super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy…” the How I Met Your Mother actor ‘tweeted’ Saturday.
Burtka, 35, appeared on How I Met Your Mother in the second season, sparking rumors that he received the part because of a romantic relationship with Harris. The story eventually led to Harris publicly acknowledging that he is gay.
Burtka quit acting in 2009 to become a chef. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Pasadena in the summer of 2009, and is currently running a catering company called Gourmet M.D. in Los Angeles.
The couple have been together since April 2004. The twins are due in October via a surrogate.
