If you are looking for a 4 Star movie, head directly to your local cinema theater and plunk down your money on a ticket to view “Michael Clayton” starring George Clooney, written and directed by Tony Gilroy of “The Bourne” series.

We quickly see that Clayton (Clooney) is burned out and hardly content with his job as a fixer for a high powered law firm. He is divorced, is dealing with a failed business venture and is into a loan shark to the tune of $80,000. He considers himself the company janitor but he is in reality, the guy they summon to clean up clients messes. He has lost the stomach for the job but is between a rock and a hard place and very tightly tethered to the firm.

Tilda Swinton plays the anxious litigator Karen Crowder and Tom Wilkinson is the firms top litigator who suffers a breakdown. These two characters add color and dimension to this fast paced, constantly moving drama. I smell supporting actor and actress nods for the pair.

George Clooney is sure to be an Oscar contender for Best Actor with this slick film. It moves right along with no unnecessary baggage. I won’t give away the ending but suffice it to say that you will be on the edge of your seat in disbelief. Clearly worth the price of admission – this one. Clooney is always easy on the eyes and in this particular case you’ll be getting a 2 for 1 – great eye candy and a top notch plot.
