The King of Pop lives! The Cirque du Soleil organization announced today that they will join forces with the Michael Jackson estate and produce a show in his honor. Now this is not only going to be amazing, but it will make an incredible amount of money for both Cirque and the Jackson estate. Profits and costs are going to be split evenly between both parties.
The show, featuring Jackson’s music, extensive dancing and acrobatics will begin with an arena tour next year before it makes its permanent stay in Las Vegas to join the likes of other famous Cirque shows including: KA, Zumanity, Mystere, O, The Beatles Love, Chris Angel Believe and Viva Elvis.
According to Jackson estate lawyer John Branca, “This will not just be a tribute to Michael’s musical genius, but a live entertainment experience that uses the most advanced technology to push every creative boundary as Michael always did.”
MJ’s mother Katherine Jackson expressed her excitement for the project stating, “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”
We are positive that fans of the late great Michael Jackson are thrilled as well. This will be such an amazing tribute to a man who truly impacted music forever. Fans will also get to party the night away after they watch the show as an MJ inspired nightclub is also in the works.
