A rolling gun battle on the Las Vegas Strip left three people dead early Thursday morning. LVPD investigators are looking for a shooter who fled the scene in a newer model Range Rover Sport, black in color, with dark tinted windows, black rims and a paper car dealer plate from out-of-state.

Las Vegas Metro police indicate the shootout happened at 4:30 a.m. on the corner of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, in clear view of Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, Bally’s and the Flamingo. Security camera video from all four establishments was requested to assist in determining exactly what occurred.

According to investigators, the driver of a Maserati was killed after being fired upon by the driver of a luxury Range Rover as they approached the intersection. In the immediate aftermath, a five car pileup left a Desert cab driver and his passenger dead after the taxi hit the Maserati sports car and burst into flames.

Initial reports indicated the Maserati driver exchanged gunfire with the SUV but police now believe all of the shots were fired from the vehicle that has since fled the crime scene.
