Justin Bieber attended a new product launch at Macy’s Herald Square in Manhattan Thursday afternoon to promote his new fragrance Someday. The event, attended by thousands of screaming girls, ended swiftly after the teen heartthrob was taken down to the ground by a barricade jumper.
The man broke through a safety barrier and tackled the pop star before multiple security guards were able to restrain the attacker and whisk Bieber away to safety.
The boisterous crowd of mostly females, who were camped out all morning with hopes of meeting the teen sensation, were disappointed when the meet and greet abruptly ended.
Justin took to Twitter to console his fans: ” #ilovemyfans and for those I didn’t get to see today….thank u for your love and support. #wegohard #teambieber #someday.”
JB doesn’t seem to have much luck at his mall appearances. Back in 2009, thousands of screaming fans got out of control at the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island, causing a near riot. That event was also canceled.
