Sam Champion is engaged to Rubem Robierb, according to a statement released by his employer ABC News.
The ‘Good Morning America’ weather anchor met the Miami-based, Brazilian fine-arts photographer through a mutual friend several years ago.
The couple will celebrate their union with friends on New Year’s Eve in Miami after officially tying the knot in New York, where same-sex marriage is legal.
Champion, 51, acknowledged, “We are thrilled and so excited, and thank everyone for their wishes. I’ve never been happier to share a bit of personal news.”
