When you are a celebrity or have a child with a celebrity, like it or not, you will be scrutinized by the media. For some, like Denise Richards, damage control is necessary on nearly a daily basis — and not even because of her own actions.
As one of the ex-wives of Charlie Sheen, Denise is working hard at protecting their two children Sam and Lola from hearing about their father’s crazy lifestyle.
Denise recently told Billy Bush that she is trying her best to guard her daughters and at the same time keep her relationship with Charlie positive for their sake.
She states that the past two year with Charlie have actually been a lot easier since she figured out that doing so keeps him off her back. They actually planned an October family trip to New York so that the kids could spend some quality time with their dad.
Unfortunately it didn’t go as planned and seems to be the point where Sheen started to fall apart. What was supposed to be a friendly dinner together turned into a hotel room scandal involving porn star Capri Anderson. Richards characterized ex-hubby’s NYC antics as “difficult.”
Denise isn’t the only one concerned and seemingly helpless. CBS President Nina Tassler was asked to comment on the network’s not-so-fair-haired superstar during a speech Q & A: “We have a high level of concern and how could we not. This man is a father; he’s got children; he has a family.
She went on to say: “I don’t know what personal information has been given to him, but he certainly knows how we feel…he knows the level of concern we have. Right now, the show continues to be as successful as it always is. Everyone is doing their job and things are continuing as planned.”
Tassler sounds like a woman waiting for the other shoe to drop — just like the rest of us.
