Katy Perry and Russell Brand have purchased a new home in the Laurel Canyon area of the Hollywood Hills.
The couple shelled out $6.5 million for the Mediterranean-style mansion built in 1925, and previously owned by former National Lampoon CEO Daniel Laikin.
The 8,835 square foot home with 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms was used on the reality TV show “The Bachelor.”
The three story mansion sits on just under three acres which includes a broad lawn at the front of the house with a circular driveway, two detached guest houses, a grotto-style swimming pool, and a small stream with a Japanese-style arched bridge tumbling down a rock waterfall into the pool.
Living areas inside the main house include a living room with wood floors, double-height hand-painted wood beam ceiling, stone mantelpiece and minstrel’s balcony, a formal dining room with an antique hand-painted honeycomb pattern ceiling, an eat-in kitchen, a family room with antique carved stone corner fireplace, a billiard room, and a media room with wide-screen projector system and built-in snack counter.
Perry and Brand recently put their Los Feliz home on the market for $3,395,000. (See photos)
