Carrie Underwood hit Twitter over the weekend to share a couple of noteworthy tidbits with her 1.7 million followers — including the fact that she jumped at the chance to rock out with The Rolling Stones on Saturday night in Canada.
The Oklahoma native tweeted, “8 years ago today, I won @AmericanIdol and tonight, I sang with the @RollingStones! Wow, so much has happened! #Thankful.”
Underwood hooked up with the Stones during their 50 & Counting Tour show at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and performed ‘It’s Only Rock & Roll’ with Mick Jagger.
Before taking the stage she made a Twitter prediction, “I’m pretty sure tonight is going to be one of the greatest nights of my life! Still can’t believe it! Just had rehearsals. The guys are so great. They made this country girl feel right at home! Holy Cow!”
The extracurricular singing gig took place a few days after Carrie donated $1 million to the American Red Cross — earmarking the funds for Oklahoma tornado relief.
