Celebrity handbag designer Timmy Woods wanted to do something special to show his support for Barack Obama. Woods decided to craft a purse that would tie back to Obama’s campaign for the presidency.

The designer looked to the candidate’s campaign signage for his inspiration and came up with a bag made from Acacia wood. The first bag was sent to Michelle Obama in time for the DNC in Denver. Woods plans to donate part of the proceeds from the sale of the specialty bags to charity.

The bag is funky cute but I just can’t see Michelle Obama turning it into a fashion statement. It looks a little like a Boy Scout canteen all jazzed up.
