Ashlee Simpson, 23, appeared this morning on The Today Show to promote her new album Bittersweet World which is due for release on April 22.
Newly engaged, Simpson and Pete Wentz have a baby on the way, according to OK! magazine. The blessed event will occur in October. Wentz, 28, and his band Fall Out Boy also have a newly released CD Live in Phoenix. Ashley also has a hand in fashion. Her line of shirts under the brand Wet Seal, will hit stores next week as well.
Simpson is still being elusive about her pregnancy status. We’ve got her short interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer below. She jokingly comments that the media has reported her to be pregnant for over a year. She doesn’t flat out deny the rumors. This sounds more like shades of J-Lo, Angelina or Nicole Kidman who kept their mother-to-be status unconfirmed for many months – well after the baby bumps were prominent.
