Actress Anne Heche was a guest of David Letterman last night. The always interesting celeb livened things up when her host asked her about her ex-husband Coley Laffoon. The couple waged a two year court battle over alimony, child support and custody of their son Homer. The ensuing battle fueled accusation that he craved ‘porn, poker and money’, and that she was ‘mentally unstable’.
The dust has settled on that episode of their lives but Heche didn’t miss a golden opportunity to bash Laffoon on national television. She told Letterman, “Can you say lazy ass on TV?” Then she thought better of it and continued, “No, no, no. That’s terrible.”
Good ‘ol Dave, feigning surprise, asked what the guy did for a living. Heche said, “He goes out to the mailbox and he opens the little door and goes “Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yay!”
Heche and her co-star James Tupper from Men in Trees hooked up during the television series and have a son Atlas Heche Tupper.
