Ventura County Superior Court Judge Glen M. Reiser granted Amanda Bynes’ mother Lynn Bynes temporary conservatorship of her daughters affairs on Friday.

This decision was handed down two weeks after Amanda was placed on an involuntary 5150 hold following her recent downward spiral.

A temporary conservatorship will allow Lynn to control decisions about Amanda’s health and finances until September 30, when the matter will go before the judge again.

Amanda’s in-patient psychiatric treatment was also extended by a judge for an additional 30 days. Amanda’s lawyer was in court to represent the interests of the actress while she remains hospitalized. He indicated that his client doesn’t feel that a conservatorship is warranted.

The judge based his ruling on the doctor’s evaluation and an investigator’s interview with Bynes. His Honor said she had a “lack of capacity to give informed consent to medical care.”
