As with her first pregnancy, Kate Middleton has been suffering from severe morning sickness as a result of a condition known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

Kate’s canceled several public appearances in the past few months and hasn’t attended an official event since early August, so the fact that she stood by William and the Queen to help welcome the president of Singapore today is a very good sign.

And, of course, she looked gorgeous in an understated Alexander McQueen dress. Not that we’re the least bit surprised by that.

Kate’s first public appearance in ten weeks may be a sign that she’s turned a corner with regard to her rare condition.

Hyperemesis Gravidarum is generally at its most severe during the first trimester. Palace officials recently announced that Kate is due in April, so the worst might be over.

In any event, here’s hoping she cools it with the courtly appearances and focuses on her health and family for the next few months. Let Will handle the royal stuff, he was literally born for it.
