Tori Spelling has decided to downplay the sex tape she referred to in her latest book Spelling It Like It Is.

While it helped her to sell lots of copies of her most recent tell-all, in the light of day she doesn’t want it to cast a negative shadow on her family.

She told Access Hollywood Live on Friday, “It was a moment more than a tape… well, it’s not a full movie. I call it a sex tape in the book… on Valentine’s Day we did decided to make a little film, documenting our love just for us.”

Spelling added, “My husband had it on our laptop at home and a former friend who was house-sitting took it — or at least claimed to take it.”

When said-friend threatened to make the tape public, Tori and Dean McDermott enlisted the help of their lawyer to put an end to it.

The former ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ star is most disturbed about suggestions that she and Dean are trying to peddle the sex tape because they are in financial trouble.

She stated emphatically, “I would never sell a sex tape! I am a mom of four beautiful babies and two girls that I want to grow up and feel like strong empowered women.”
