David Brownlow Traywick, the younger brother of country legend Randy Travis, was arrested Tuesday for running a meth operation out of his home in Union County, North Carolina.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested 50-year-old Traywick, his wife Jessica, and two other women. All have been charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine.
Travis’ brother and sister-in-law are each being held on a $500,000 bond and went before a judge on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. They remain incarcerated.
The Traywick’s were last arrested in September 2012 for cooking meth in a makeshift lab near their Marshville home.
Meanwhile, the ailing country crooner remains hospitalized in a Texas hospital, recovering from a life threatening heart condition and the aftermath of a stroke that required surgical intervention.
