We reported last week that Oprah has scored an exclusive first interview with Lindsay Lohan when she finishes her 90 day rehab stint at the end of July. Now we’ve got all of the details behind the deal.
According to TMZ, negotiations between O and Lilo have been ongoing for the past 4 months and the deal was finally cinched earlier this summer while Lindsay was at the Betty Ford Treatment Center.
OWN has agreed to pay Lohan $2 million for a candid interview and an 8-part documentary series detailing her legal struggles, addiction demons and what it was like to spend the last three months in rehab.
We’re not sure if that included film crew access within the confines of her rehab facility. Could that be why the actress abruptly left Betty Ford a month ago to finish her treatment at Cliffside Malibu?
The deal will also guarantee Lindsay a stylist and two fully-paid assistants who will tend to her every need.
It just goes to show … sometimes crime DOES pay!
