In an 11th hour decision, CBS pulled the season-ending episode of ‘Mike & Molly’ last night because the plot line was suddenly inappropriate because of the devastating tornado in Oklahoma.
The premise of the final show of season three had the two main characters, portrayed by Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy, confessing important news to one another as a tornado threatened Chicago.
This Twitter notice appeared last night on @MikeMolly_CBS: “Due 2 the tragic events in Oklahoma, 2nite’s season finale of #MikeandMolly, which has a related storyline, will be pre-empted by a repeat.”
According to the network, the last show of the season will air “at an appropriate date” in the future.
