Jaden Smith appeared Wednesday with his famous father Will Smith on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ where the youth talked about recent emancipation rumors.

Ellen asked the 14-year-old, “I just heard you are trying to become emancipated, is that right?”

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s son responded, “See, here is the thing that you need to understand — I’m not going anywhere. The thing that people don’t get is everything at our house is free. So I can get anything and everything at home so I’m going to be there 20, 30 more years.”

Jaden added with a smile, “He says as soon as I have a movie that’s bigger than one of his movies, I can get my own house.”

So how did the rumors get started? The ‘Men in Black’ actor said sheepishly, “I think I made a joke in Tokyo. I mean, my baby boy he’s never leaving me, ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids.”

Father and son will appear in the science fiction action film ‘After Earth’ beginning May 31, 2013.
