Country singer Chely Wright has confirmed that she and her wife Lauren Blitzer-Wright are anxiously anticipating the birth of identical twins in July.
While appearing on the YouTube show Gwissues, Chely talked about her pregnancy, “We’re excited to be parents and we hope we don’t mess it up too badly. With identical twins they typically have to be delivered a month early,” suggesting that a June delivery is quite possible.
The 42-year-old entertainer met her wife two weeks after coming out in May 2010. The couple tied the note in Connecticut in August 2011 – pics here.
Blitzer-Wright, 31, acknowledged, “We’re eager to embark on the adventure.”
Her marital partner explained, “When gay couples have babies it’s logistically a little different than when straight people have babies as we all know. We feel like God blessed us with twins. We feel our entire relationship has been blessed. We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges.”
