Chelsea Handler debuted her new studio set last night on Chelsea Lately with a decidedly high profile guest … her friend Jennifer Aniston.
When the conversation moved to Jen’s recent engagement to actor Justin Theroux, Chelsea had no idea the subject would be such an emotional one for her guest.
With tears welling up in her eyes, Jen exclaimed, “I just got verklempt.” For those who don’t speak German, that means choked with emotion.
Handler came to Aniston’s aid and quickly interjected, “He’s the greatest guy ever. You guys make the greatest couple ever.” Jen smiled and gave Chelsea a nod.
This is the former ‘Friends’ stars first television interview since releasing the engagement announcement through a rep in August — which says a great deal about her relationship with Handler.
The engagement sparkler is a 8-carat center cut diamond designed by Peter Meksian from Michael M that reportedly set back Theroux to the tune of $500K.
