The fighting has begun! When it was announced that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj had both signed on as judges for ‘American Idol,’ many wondered how the strong-willed entertainers would get along.
Last night at an ‘AI’ audition session in Charlotte, North Carolina, things got ugly. Threats were thrown as Keith Urban sat wedged between the dynamic divas.
TMZ obtained footage of the feud. While it’s hard to hear Mariah … it is clear that she is fighting back and it sounds like she is mocking Minaj.
The outburst began after a performer took the stage. Minaj can be heard saying, “Get this s**t in self control. Get in control. Get in control.”
Randy Jackson can be heard saying, “Settle down, settle down.”
Nicki continued, “Don’t lose your head. Don’t lose your head (inaudible). Don’t tell me I’m a gangster. So every time you patronize me, I’m-ma take it back, and if you’ve got a f***ing problem, handle it.”
Then she turned on Mariah, “I told them I’m not f**kin’ putting up with her f**king highness over there. Figure it the f**k out. Figure it out.”
The producers reportedly ended the auditions for the day so that Mariah and Nicki could have some time to cool down.
Our guess is that Jackson isn’t surprised by this behavior, but one has to wonder what the soft spoken country crooner is thinking.
