Sharon Osbourne posted a cryptic tweet to her ‘America’s Got Talent’ cohort Howard Stern yesterday insinuating that she will not be signing a new contract.
It all started on Monday when the shock jock tweeted, “I’m not sure I’ll do another season and Sharon Osbourne may not come back unless she gets more money.”
She promptly attempted to set him straight:
The revelation took NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt by surprise. He got wind of the Twitter comments while addressing a meeting of the Television Critics Association and responded: “This is coming out of context and sort of spontaneously, and we don’t even know what’s going on. And it’s probably much ado about nothing.”
It sounds like Osbourne is simply toying with the network as part of a negotiating tactic. Don’t count her out just yet …
