Hugh Jackman was honored at the 2012 Tony Awards Sunday. His wife Deborra-Lee Furness surprised him with a special award presentation for his work as a performer and humanitarian.
The Australian actor has been on location in Europe filming ‘Le Miserables’ as pointed out to the audience by his normally media shy wife.
Furness told the crowd, “There’s nothing more romantic after not seeing your husband for four months than to have our first night back together on a Broadway stage with 12 million people watching.”
Jackson responded, “I love you with all my heart. I know how much you hate public speaking; this is probably the greatest thing you’ve ever done for me. Really. It means the world to me.”
